I am going to learn to knit. Knitting shouldn’t be too hard.. should it? I mean I tired knitting when I was younger. I kept screwing it up and somehow ended up with twice as many stitches as I started with and a really weird looking miniature scarf that I had to claim was for my teddy because there was no way it would fit properly around my wrist let alone my neck. I half expected to come home and find my teddy with a smug little look on his stitched up face having thrown my scarf in the fire and watched it burn while laughing maliciously (internally because his mouth wasn’t real). That’s really just the relationship we had. Very love hate. So I am picking up knitting, partially because I really need something to do and partially because my friend saw a woman today with a knitted bag with cat faces all over it. I think my body/brain is involuntarily receding into premature cat ladyness. Im currently looking at knitting patterns for cat jerseys online. So far I have to favourites: the cat hoodie and the cat mask. If I complete one cat hoodie every month then it will only take me 6 years to get the required amount of cat hoodies for the 72 cats I’m planning to raise.
